The Rimrock 50-Mile Trail Challenge is an ultramarathon trail event starting at Napa Skyline Wilderness Park and continuing through Napa Open Space and the recently opened Suscol Headwaters trail system.

The course consists of two and a half large loops.

Each full loop is approximately 22 miles, while the final loop is replaced by a shorter 10K section,

reducing the elevation burden somewhat in the latter stages.

The course climbs and descends along oak-covered ridges, with views across Napa Valley.

According to information for the nearby Napa Wilderness Trail Run,

the higher sections offer views of Mount Diablo to the east, Mount Tamalpais to the west, and Mount Saint Helena to the north.

The Suscol Headwaters section is relatively little known because it opened only recently.

Typical race-season temperature: around 16°C (60°F)
