Stations & transport near the venue

Just tap your contactless Visa, Mastercard, or Discover card (or Apple Pay/Google Pay) directly on any VIA bus fare box — no card purchase needed. (American Express does not work.)

Getting to the start

VIA Metropolitan Transit bus routes 93/97 — stops at Loop 1604 @ Via Shavano and La Cantera (opposite TJ Maxx entrance)

Race start/finish is Eisenhower Park, 19399 NW Military Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78257.

Nearest VIA bus stops are roughly at Loop 1604/La Cantera, not an immediate walk to the park entrance — expect a notable walk or rideshare.

Per prior edition info, race was held at this venue under a different UltraSignup ID;

the current listing is the same venue/organizer, consistent recurring event, not a date conflict.

Getting to the finish

Same as start — Eisenhower Park

Loop course through natural trail terrain finishing near the park's greenway trail entrance.

More details

No organizer-run shuttle found.

IC card

goCard (physical reloadable card; disposable goCard Lite also available)

VIA Customer Service Centers (ticket windows) sell/reload the reloadable goCard;

preloaded goCard Lite cards are also sold at most H-E-B grocery stores.

Works directly at the gates

Alternative: VIA Day Pass $2.75 (regular) — reduced-fare day pass $1.35 — Worth buying if taking 3+ rides in one day (single fare is $1.30/trip);

otherwise tapping your bank card per ride is simplest for a one-off marathon trip.

More details

VIA rolled out tap-to-pay fare boxes across its entire bus fleet in February 2025, accepting contactless Visa,

Mastercard, Discover, and mobile wallets at the same fare as cash, no added fee.

Cash is still accepted on board (exact change required).

This is VIA's whole bus network — there is no separate rail system in San Antonio.

Stations & transport near the venue

San Antonio has VIA Metropolitan Transit,

using the reloadable goCard lite (loadable with day/7-day/31-day passes) plus contactless bank card and mobile wallet tap-to-pay accepted directly on buses.

The race venue is a park on the city's outskirts not directly on VIA routes, so visitors flying in should plan a rental car or rideshare for the final leg.

READY TO RUN

From race morning to after the finish.

Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.

This trail race, held at Eisenhower Park in San Antonio, offers four events —

50K, 25K, 10K, and 5K — open to both running and rucking (walking with a weighted pack).

The course is mostly a natural trail with plenty of rocks and tree roots, following the same loop repeated for each event's distance.

The 50K starts at 6:45 AM for 6 laps, the 25K at 7:15 AM for 3 laps, the 10K at 8:00 AM for 2 laps, and the 5K at 8:30 AM for 1 lap.

Same-day registration (packet pickup) is available from 6:15 AM to 9:00 AM.

The overall time limit is 12 hours, and no new lap may be started after 4:45 PM, with no exceptions to this rule.

Finishers can choose between a custom finisher medal or other swag,

and receive aid station support throughout the course, chip timing, and a free finisher photo.

The race is hosted by Rise Racing Co.
