Getting to the start

None — 50K starts at FS 532 near Greenleaf Dam, a remote National Forest road with no transit access

25K and 10K start at Cahulga Creek Park, 343 Mountain St, Heflin, AL (same as finish); 50K starts point-to-point at FS 532/Greenleaf Dam, reached only by the organizer bus or personal vehicle. Small-town rural venue, no public transit — the organizer bus is the only way to reach the 50K start point.

Start shuttle

Organizer-run shuttle bus (mandatory-in-practice for 50K runners) from Cahulga Park to the FS 532/Greenleaf Dam start, $15 fee, departs 5:55 AM CST sharp.

Transit card

Heflin, AL is a small rural Cleburne County town with no dedicated transit card system. Car access is required; cash/card works fine for any local stops.

This race follows the Pinhoti Trail in Talladega National Forest near Heflin, Alabama.

The 50K starts on a forest road (FS 532) near Greenleaf Dam and finishes at Cahulga Creek Park via the Pinhoti Trail and Heflin Spur,

making it a point-to-point course.

The 25K is a lollipop course starting and finishing at Cahulga Park, while the 10K is an out-and-back course from the same location.

The 50K starts at 7:00 a.m., and the 25K and 10K at 8:00 a.m. local time.

The time limit are 9 hours 30 minutes, 6 hours, and 4 hours, respectively.

Based on the early registration rates, entry is $115 for the 50K, $75 for the 25K, and $55 for the 10K.

After February 13, the prices increase to $135, $95, and $75, respectively.

Registration closes at midnight on the Tuesday four days before the race.

Refunds, transfers, and race-day registration are not available.

Bib is available at Cahulga Creek Park from 3:00 to 6:30 p.m. the day before,

with brief additional pickup available at each division's start area on race morning.

A shuttle bus to the 50K start at Greenleaf Dam departs Cahulga Park at 5:55 a.m. and costs $15 one way.

The 50K course has six water and aid stations;

some, including the one at mile 26, provide water only.

Strollers, pets, bicycles, and course accompanying unregistered runners are prohibited.
