“Honestly, I needed to run and talk with someone to distract me from my foot pain.”

The 53K course links the Green Rock, DeClue and Fox Run trails in two out-and-back sections, with approximately 5,200 feet of elevation gain.

Half marathon, along with the half marathon ruck division, is an out-and-back course on the Green Rock,

Eagle Valley and Deer Run trails, with approximately 2,200 feet of elevation gain.

Surfaces range from hard-packed dirt to loose gravel.

Around 95% of the course is singletrack, with repeated rocks, tree roots and stream crossings making it a technical trail race.

The start and finish are at Muckerman Shelter in Greensfelder County Park.

None mentioned. Crew access is restricted to only three points: Aid Station #1 (Rockwoods Range), Aid Station #4 (Rockwoods Reservation), and the Start/Finish — crew barred from other aid stations/trails, disqualification for violations.

Transit card

No dedicated transit card applies at Rockwoods Reserve in Wildwood, Missouri, a suburban St. Louis park reached by car.

St. Louis Metro Transit is mid-transition in 2026 to a new fare system, using the Transit app or a reloadable 'Ride On' smart card for MetroBus/MetroLink in the urban core, but this has no relevance to reaching the Wildwood trailhead.
