Via Paleocapa, Savona

The Savona half marathon Marathon starts on Via Paleocapa in downtown Savona and heads up the coast along the SS1 Via Aurelia state road.

Course is a single loop that passes through Albissola Marina and Albisola Superiore before returning to Savona,

and running alongside the distinctive Ligurian coastline is the event's biggest highlight.

Held the same day, the Ten 10K is a non-competitive race shorter than half marathon that goes back and forth along the Savona-Albisola stretch,

designed so that even beginner runners can enjoy the sea breeze without pressure.

Both events are course certified by the Italian Athletics Federation (FIDAL) and World Athletics.

Typical race-season temperature: around 11°C (52°F): Short sleeves or light long sleeves + arm warmers

Getting to the start

Stazione di Savona (Savona train station)

Start/finish both at Via Paleocapa in central Savona, roughly 900m-1.8km (12-24 min walk) from Savona train station;

also reachable by local bus line 4 (~14 min) or taxi (~6 min).

Race start 09:30.

Official site confirms date as 15 novembre 2026, no date conflict.

public transit (bus line 4) and walking from the station are the main options.

READY TO RUN

From race morning to after the finish.

Your start time, fuel and bag drop.

The Entry fee uses an early-bird pricing structure that increases over time.

As of half marathon, the fee is €15 through August 16, €20 through November 2 and €23 through November 9, plus a separate €2 online administration fee.

Since prices rise closer to race day, registering early is the better option.

The bib can be collected from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the Saturday before the race,

and from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on race-day Sunday, at the San Pertini sports hall on Via Vergellino 1A.

Collection in person is the standard procedure;

if someone else collects it for you, they must bring a letter of authorisation and a copy of the participant's ID.
