Getting to the start

Gare de Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez (SNCF TER, line Nantes–Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie)

Start is on Avenue de la Forêt, Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez. The free local 'Hilagobus' shuttle connects the station to town and is scheduled to meet TER trains; regional ALEOP buses also serve the commune.

Rural Vendée coastal town; train + local shuttle combo is the realistic public-transit option.

Stade de la Forêt, Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez

Finish is at Stade de la Forêt, adjacent to the start area on Avenue de la Forêt; same station/shuttle access as the start.

Free municipal 'Hilagobus' shuttle links the SNCF station to the town/race area, timed to connect with TER trains.

Transit card

Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez runs its own free local minibus service called Hilagobus (Monday-Saturday, 8am-6pm), so no fare card is needed for trips within town. Regional Aleop network buses (lines 568 and 572) connect to Les Sables-d'Olonne and Saint-Jean-de-Monts.

This is a rural coastal area of Vendee with limited service frequency, so a car is recommended for race-day logistics.

The Pays de Saint-Gilles half marathon is held in Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez in France’s Vendée region and consists of a 10K,

the Crédit Mutuel Océan, and a half marathon, the Vin Deden.

The 10K starts at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and the half marathon at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Both are certified by the French Athletics Federation (FFA) and also serve as qualifying events for the national championships.

Registration is online only through the official website or the partner site finishers.com.

Based on the previous year,

the Entry fee for the half marathon was €19 for FFA license holders and €23 for non-license holders under the early-bird rate before the end of May,

later rising to €22/€26.

2026 prices may change, so check the official site again.

Online registration closed at midnight on the Sunday of the week before the race (July 26 in the previous year),

and Packet Pickup took place from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 7:30 a.m. on Sunday at Stade de la Forêt.
