The Sharm El Sheikh half marathon Marathon sets start line and finish inside Ras Mohammed National Park at the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula.
Course follows the Red Sea coastline and includes a section through mangrove forest.
The entire 21.1km course takes place on roads within the national park, with the Red Sea alternating on the left and desert terrain on the right.
The event includes three races—5km, 10km, and half marathon—held together,
with the half marathon registered as a World Athletics-affiliated Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) certified distance.
The event is organized by Event Sports, part of the Egypt Marathon Group.

So on race morning, you can just run.

Rely on cash-paid taxis (or a ride-hailing app like Careem) and negotiate/confirm the fare before you get in — Sharm El Sheikh has no formal public transit card system, and hop-on minibuses are informal and not tourist-friendly.

Race (5K/10K/Half) runs entirely inside Ras Mohamed National Park, which has no public transportation access.
Race pack pickup/Expo is at the official hotel, DoubleTree by Hilton Sharks Bay Resort, on Fri Nov 27, 2026 (04:00-08:00pm).

com to arrange it.
General Sharm El Sheikh tourism operators run hotel-pickup coach transfers to Ras Mohamed (commonly ~9am),
but this is a tourist-excursion service, not documented as the marathon's official shuttle —
do not assume it covers pre-dawn race-start timing.
Foreign runners should treat hotel/organizer-arranged transfer as mandatory and confirm before travel.
Public transport is essentially just local minibuses that run along main roads with no fixed stops (hail by hand) —
not really practical or reliable for tourists.
Most visitors use taxis (negotiate first;
short Naama Bay/Hadaba trips run roughly 50-80 EGP) or the ride-hailing app Careem.
Many hotels also run free shuttle buses to spots like Soho Square, Old Market, and Naama Bay.
Expect cash-only transactions for taxis/minibuses.

Know them ahead and the run feels easier.
Sharm El Sheikh has a desert climate under the Köppen classification, remaining dry year-round with only modest temperature drops in winter.
January, when the race takes place, is relatively cool for a Red Sea event, with average daytime temperatures of 21-22°C and nighttime temperatures around 13°C.
Most of course runs on roads through the national park, where shade is limited, so take precautions against morning UV exposure.
Sharm El Sheikh is a Red Sea resort city with an international airport and extensive hotel infrastructure, making access to the race venue straightforward.
