Sint-Gillis-Loopt (the Rodan Run) is a road-running event held in Sint-Gillis-Waas, a small town in the municipality of Sint-Niklaas in East Flanders, Belgium.

The name can easily be confused with the Saint-Gilles municipality in Brussels, but the race actually takes place in this small town in the Waasland region.

'Rodan' comes from Rodan Interieur, the furniture and interior-design company that has supported the event for many years.

The 5km and 10km courses are officially measured under World Athletics standards,

and 400m and 1km children's races are also held, making it a community running festival for all ages.

Sint-Gillis-Waas

The start and finish are located at the Burgemeester Omer De Meyplein square in the town center.

Registration and bib pickup take place at the nearby Sporthal De Gavers (Kardinaal J. Cardijnstraat 1).

The course consists of repeated 2.5 km loops: two laps for the 5K and four laps for the 10K.

It is an almost completely flat course with little elevation change and has been officially measured to World Athletics standards.

The 400 m children’s race starts first, followed by the 1 km children’s race, then the 5K and finally the 10K.

No official time limit has been published.

De Lijn bus stop 'Sint-Gillis-Waas Gemeentehuis/Sint-Gillis-Waas Town Hall' (~3 min walk) or 'Sint-Gillis-Waas Sint-Helena' (~2 min walk), served by lines 21, 85 and 211

Race hub/registration is at Sporthal De Gavers, Kardinaal J. Cardijnstraat 1, Sint-Gillis-Waas, near Burgemeester Omer de Meyplein in the town center.

No rail station in Sint-Gillis-Waas itself; access is by De Lijn bus.

Contactless bank cards, smartphones, or smartwatches work directly on the white payment terminals onboard (about 3 EUR per single trip, covering up to 5 people on one card), with free transfers within 60 minutes - no need for a separate MOBIB card.

If paying with Apple Pay or Google Pay, location-based security must be turned off for the tap to register.

In mid-September, East Flanders has cool early-autumn conditions, with average highs of about 21°C and lows of around 11°C.

Monthly rainfall is typically 41–80mm, so be prepared for showers, and sunshine levels are only in the 40–50% range, meaning overcast days are common.

Winds are generally light.

Course itself is a flat loop with no elevation gain, making it manageable for first-time racers and runners targeting a personal best.

Sint-Gillis-Waas is a small town of about 19,000 people in the Waasland region near Sint-Niklaas.

The registration venue, Sporthal De Gavers, is in the town centre and is easy to reach on foot or by public transport.
