Space Coast Marathon & Half Marathon runner reviews and race reports

Stories from runners who've been there.

From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.

Race reports: 3
Vanessa JunkinRan in 2025 · Finish time 6:07:51
“I crossed the finish line with a time of 6:07:51, my slowest marathon to date and my first taking more than six hours.”

Vanessa continued through the Space Coast Marathon by alternating running and walking in hot weather, finishing in her slowest time of 6:07:51.

Shannon TranRan in 2023 · Finish time 4:21
“Four long, sweaty, and grueling hours and 21 painful minutes after, I finished with a 16-minute PR.”

At the 2023 Space Coast Marathon, Shannon achieved a 16-minute personal best with an official time of 4 hours 21 minutes. Despite the heat, humidity, and fatigue later in the race, Shannon kept pushing to the finish thanks to friends' support and the aid stations and course conditions.

rillarunsRan in 2014
“The tears were back as I crossed the finish line.”

The runner took on the first full marathon at the 2014 Space Coast Marathon. Despite the space shuttle-themed start, the coastal course, and a late-race crisis caused by going too fast during the opening stages, the runner finished the race and remembers it as a special experience.

We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.
