Spirit of the Sylamore, set in the Sylamore mountain management area near Norfork,
is made up of a course connecting the Ozark Highlands Trail and the North Sylamore Creek Trail within the Ozark-St.
Francis National Forest.
The 100-mile division covers about 31 miles of the Ozark Highlands Trail, while the 38-mile division ('Quirky Turkey') covers about 18 miles of the same trail.
Elevation ranges from about 390 feet at the start to a high point of about 1,500 feet, with rocky,
steep single- and double-track trail and numerous stream crossings along the course, giving the course large elevation change per mile.

Start/finish is at "Misty Mornings" on Norfork River Road in Norfork, AR,
a very rural stretch of the Ozarks near Blanchard Springs / the Sylamore Ranger District.
Deeply rural Ozark Mountains venue — nearest towns have no transit;
car access only.

Spirit of Syllamo near Norfork, AR is a remote rural trail venue in the Ozarks with no public transit or transit card system.
A rental car is required;
standard bank cards cover any fuel or camping fees.
Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.
The race starts at 6:00 a.m. on December 12, 2026, and bib is distributed on-site from 5:15 to 5:45 a.m., 15 minutes before the start.
The finish time limit is 12.5 hours for the 38-mile division and 34 hours for the 100-mile division, and registration is handled through UltraSignup.
Early bib pickup is available at Norfork Adventure Supply on the Friday before the race, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
