Half marathon (21.0975 km) is the only event, with a field of 10,000 participants.

Registration is first come, first served and closes when the capacity is reached.

Zhongwei has no metro/subway. Visitors typically arrive via Zhongwei Railway Station (high-speed rail connections from Yinchuan or Lanzhou) and then take a taxi/Didi (roughly 10-15 RMB) to the Municipal Plaza start.

Local buses use Alipay/WeChat QR-code payment; taxi is the easiest option for foreign visitors given the city's small scale.

The Shapotou area of Zhongwei, Ningxia, China, has a desert climate with large increases in daytime temperatures during summer.

Course passes along Shapotou East–West Avenue, the Guanguangjie scenic corridor, Shapotou Water Town and Xiangshan Lake National Wetland Park.

The route is almost entirely flat, with little elevation change.

Entries are available through the official WeChat account “Zhongwei Shapotou District Marathon”,

the “Zuicool Marathon Baoming” mini-program and the official Zuicool website.

The field is limited to 10,000 runners.

The race pack includes Shapotou watermelon, a local speciality, together with a dedicated spoon.
