It takes place on Saturday, November 28, 2026, over Thanksgiving weekend.

All distances start at 8:00am.

It is a 26.2-mile course around the perimeter of Stennis Space Center, with full marathon, half marathon, and 5K distances.

The course follows paved roads and forest trails, with frequent wildlife sightings.

Getting to the start

None – no public transit to Stennis Space Center (restricted-access NASA/federal facility)

Start/finish at Cypress House, Building 2411, Stennis Space Center, MS 39529. Allow 15+ extra minutes to clear the Main security gate race morning; adult participants need a Real ID-compliant driver's license, passport, or military ID plus proof of auto insurance to enter the base. Restricted-access federal facility — car access only.

Race-morning packet pickup also at Cypress House near the start line; Friday pickup is off-base at the Mississippi Welcome Center in Pearlington.

The Stennis Space Center Marathon takes place at the NASA Stennis Space Center in rural coastal Mississippi, a federal facility with no public transit access. No transit card system applies; a car is required, and visitors should note the venue is a secured federal site requiring standard ID/vehicle checks at the gate (unrelated to transit).

READY TO RUN

From race morning to after the finish.

Know them ahead and the run feels easier.

Stennis Space Center in November — average 15°C, a great temperature for chasing a record.

While waiting at the start, your body temperature drops quickly, so wear a throwaway outer layer while standing by, then take it off right before the start.

Public transportation does not reach the venue.

The only realistic ways to get there are by private car or rental car.

Registration is handled through the RunSignup platform.

Full marathon truly begins after 30km.

It is better to pass the first half 5~10 seconds slower than your target pace to hold up better in the second half,

and take gels early before you start feeling hungry.

The start is at 08:00. Registration is open until 2026-11-27.
