Getting to the start

The Oval (area 13), Mt. Airy Forest, Cincinnati, OH — trail race with no public transit access, reached by car.

50K starts 8:00 AM; 27K starts 8:30 AM. No public transit or shuttle for this event; rental car or rideshare to Mt.

Airy Forest is the only practical way in. Parking limited — park close together within The Oval area.

Parking is only allowed inside The Oval.

Getting to the finish

Finish is at the same Oval venue as the start (loop course).

Metro’s downtown sales office and select retailers (card sales were reportedly paused in mid-2025 because of a technical issue—check current availability; the Transit app works regardless) Not accepted at the gates — get the local card above

Alternative: Day Pass (automatic fare cap) $4.40 (automatically applied once you have paid that much for single rides within 24 hours) — Worth it if you are taking more than 2 bus rides in one day—you do not buy it separately; the app or card applies the cap automatically. Cincinnati Metro’s contactless system is app/QR-code- or EZfare-card-based, not an open-loop system that accepts a physical foreign bank card tapped at the reader.

A 30-day cap of $88 also applies for longer stays.

The race is held at Mt. Airy Forest, a few miles from downtown Cincinnati.

The 27K involves alternating between 5-mile and 3-mile loops, completing two rounds of each.

Start time is 8:00 AM (the 50K walking category 'Trekker' starts at 7:00 AM), and course closes around 4:30 PM.
