Runners start · local time — Starting time 06:00 (full marathon group 42.195KM)/06:00 (half marathon group)/06:30 (road running group 5KM)
All three events start at the Zhongshan Hall Baguatai flag-raising platform and return to the same location.
Full marathon crosses Xinyuan No. 1 Bridge immediately after the start, enters Lane 71 of Section 101 of Jingshan Road,
and turns at the first turnaround point on the road towards the Qingtian Gang car park after passing Section 101.
Runners retrace the route, take Zhuzihu Road (竹子湖路, the Zhonghu defensive access road), climb Provincial Highway 2A,
the Yangjin Highway, pass Linkou bus stop and turn at the second turnaround point.
They then retrace the route back to the flag-raising platform.
Half marathon follows the same route as full marathon as far as the first turnaround point.
On the Yangjin Highway, it turns at the second turnaround point before crossing Machao Bridge.
The 5km turns around at the turnaround point on Section 101 of Jingshan Road.
Course has been measured to international athletics standards, and aid station and the aid stations are positioned under the same regulations.
Full marathon and half marathon are divided into 14 categories by gender and age, with a separate visually impaired category.
Pick up your bib, check your wave.
So on race morning, you can just run.
Race materials are generally sent by courier, with overseas participants receiving delivery at their hotel.
On-site collection is available only in the hotel lobby during the above-mentioned time period.
10/31 (Sat) 16:00-17:00
Get an EasyCard — NT$100 at any MRT station or convenience store, works on the MRT, buses, and even as everyday store payment.
no MRT reaches the venue — nearest is Jiantan Station (捷運劍潭站), but the normal city bus up to Yangmingshan (小15) doesn't operate at the pre-dawn hour runners need. Official paid shuttle (NT$250 round trip, purchased at registration) departs from 3 pickup points: (A) Children's Amusement Park Bus Station, (B) National Science and Technology Museum Bus Station, (C) Shilin Senior Commercial Vocational High School Bus Station
Start/finish at Yangmingshan Zhongshan Building Bagua Flag-Raising Platform.
Full/half marathoners advised to catch a shuttle by 04:00 for mountain-road travel time.
Venue parking very limited (3 lots 1.5-2.1km/20-30min walk away) — shuttle strongly recommended over driving.
First edition at this venue in 16 years.
same Zhongshan Building start/finish area
Return shuttle picks up at Zhongshan Building, drops at National Taiwan Science Education Center parking lot,
running 09:00-13:00 (departs when full, last bus 13:00).
Official paid shuttle bus system (NT$250 round trip) is the primary access method given venue remoteness and parking scarcity —
pickup at 3 designated Taipei stations, ticket required to board both ways.
EasyCard (悠遊卡)
MRT station ticket machines and service counters, or convenience stores (7-Eleven, FamilyMart, Hi-Life, OK Mart) — ask at the cashier;
many locations are open 24/7.
Works directly at the gates
Alternative: Taipei Pass 1-day NT$180, 2-day NT$310, 3-day NT$440, 5-day NT$700 (unlimited MRT + city bus rides) —
Worth it only if you're taking roughly 6 or more MRT/bus rides in a single day, since a typical single MRT fare runs about NT$20-30.
The NT$100 EasyCard fee is a non-refundable card cost with no stored value included — you top it up separately in NT$100/500/1,000 increments.
As of July 1, 2026, Taipei Metro's official site confirms tap-in/tap-out with physical contactless bank cards (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, UnionPay, Diners Club, Discover) or linked mobile wallets now works directly at fare gates —
this is a very recent rollout, so EasyCard is a good backup for buses or locations where it may not yet be fully supported.
If returning an EasyCard for refund, the remaining balance is refunded minus a NT$20 handling fee (within 3 months);
the initial NT$100 is not refunded.

The 2026 race will be held on Sunday, November 1.
Full marathon and half marathon gather at 5:30 a.m. and start at 6:00, while the 5km group gathers at 6:00 and starts at 6:30.
Time limit is full marathon 6 hours, half marathon 4 hours, and 5km 2 hours.
Times are calculated from the gun start, and anyone who starts more than 10 minutes late will be disqualified.
The average November temperature in host city Taipei is 24.8°C high and 19.7°C low, and monthly rainfall is 89.3mm.
The organizer notes that humidity and the day-night temperature difference are significant at the race venue,
so runners should bring warm clothing and rain gear.
The race will go ahead in the rain, and it is only treated as canceled if the government announces a suspension of work and school.
All race items are shipped by courier; there is no on-site pickup.
You need an address in Taiwan that can receive deliveries during the day,
and overseas runners should enter their hotel address and confirm in advance whether the hotel can accept the package on their behalf.
If you do not yet have accommodation when you register, you must update the address by October 8 by email to the organizer.
Shipping is done in stages from October 19, and if you have not received your items by October 27, you should contact the association.
Without bib, you cannot enter course.
The start is in a mountainous area, so parking nearby is limited.
The organizer-operated paid shuttle bus costs 250 New Taiwan dollars round trip and must be purchased at registration;
there are no sales on race day.
Buses depart from the National Taiwan Museum of Science Education parking lot between 3:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. as seats fill up,
and the ride takes 45 to 60 minutes.
Participants in full marathon and half marathon are advised to board before 4:00 a.m. Return shuttles run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Baggage storage accepts only the official race-issued storage bag.
You must remove the storage card printed on bib and place it in the front pocket of the bag.
Drop-off times are 4:50 to 6:00 for full marathon and half marathon, and 5:20 to 6:30 for 5km.
Electronic devices, valuables, and fragile items cannot be stored.
Registration is online only from June 2 at 2:00 p.m. to August 31 at 5:00 p.m., and will close early if the field fills.
Capacity is 1,000 for full marathon, 2,500 for half marathon, and 1,500 for 5km.
Entry fee costs 1,000 New Taiwan dollars for full marathon, 800 New Taiwan dollars for half marathon, and 600 New Taiwan dollars for 5km (as of 2026).
Only runners born before 2009 may register for full marathon and half marathon, while 5km has no age limit.
Times are local to Taipei. Check the latest official information before the race.
