Getting to the start

Deer Grove East Forest Preserve, 1599 Pepper Tree Dr, Palatine, IL 60067

Verified independently as a distinct Cook County Forest Preserve site (Deer Grove East). Hourly 5K-loop format with a centralized start/finish.

No public transit; car access only. Per web search (UltraSignup, RunSignUp, gotrail.run, everfurther.net series page — not a fetched official race-specific page, which was not directly located).

Every loop returns to the same start/finish with an aid station and crew/gear access.

Chicago-area transit uses the Ventra card (tap-to-pay bank cards also work directly on CTA, Metra rail via the Ventra app, and Pace buses). The nearest option is Palatine Metra station on the UP-NW line, then a short Pace Route 659 bus ride plus a walk to reach Deer Grove East Forest Preserve, though driving is far more practical for a race-day start.

A single Metra ride runs a few dollars depending on distance zone.
