The Valentine Marathon is a race that starts and finishes in front of Bolo Beer Co. (E 1st Street) in Valentine, Nebraska,

and offers a wide range of events from the 1-mile to full marathon, half marathon, and a team ultrarelays run in relay format.

Entry fee is broadly priced by event, starting at $50 for the 1-mile and going up to $324 for the 4-person ultrarelay,

and note that team events must be entered in a single payment for the whole team (use 'Add another registrant' on the registration screen).

The participant T-shirt is not guaranteed for runners who register after about 3 weeks before the race (based on the previous year, after July 18),

so it is best to sign up early.

Bib pickup (packet pickup) takes place the day before the race, Friday, in the conference room at Niobrara Lodge Hotel.

The race is known for its strong local give-back element, with $1 donated to the Valentine Community Schools Foundation for every mile run.
