Course involves running multiple laps, depending on the event, of a roughly 5km (3.1 mile) loop starting from Laurel Point at Raccoon Mountain in Chattanooga.
The trail has roots and rocks that make it technical, though not especially difficult, and there are no water crossings.
Packet pickup takes place only on race day, September 12, from 7:30 to 8:25 a.m. at Laurel Point, so it's best to arrive with plenty of time to spare.
The time limit common to all events is 8 hours, and the final lap must start by 3:45 p.m.
Times are local to Chattanooga. Check the latest official information before the race.
