Pick up your bib, check your wave.
So on race morning, you can just run.
Hyak Sno-Park/trailhead on the Palouse to Cascades Trail, Snoqualmie Pass, WA (elevation ~2,550 ft)
Start at Hyak trailhead. Recommended free parking at Lot E3 close to start per official tunnelmarathon.com site; parking directly at Hyak Sno-Park requires a WA Discover Pass and 'becomes congested and fills quickly' (per secondary source).
Point-to-point downhill course through the historic Snoqualmie Tunnel (2.4 mi, headlamp recommended) then along the Snoqualmie Valley Trail. No public transit; shuttle bus is the only non-driving option mentioned.
Gravel parking area along North Bend Way, approx. 2.4 miles SE of downtown North Bend, WA
Official site states 'Absolutely NO Parking at the Finish Line' and the finish area is about 1 mile uphill from the shuttle drop-off. Official site also notes: 'Due to storm damage, the 2026 events will follow an alternate, fully permitted route.'
Yes — official spectator shuttle buses run from Hyak Sno-Park to the finish line area, per official tunnelmarathon.com Parking & Directions page; no finish-line parking is permitted so shuttle/car-with-walk is the way to reach finish.
No dedicated transit card system for this mountain-pass venue at Snoqualmie Pass, Washington; there is no public transit reaching the start area. This is a car-access race, with cash or card accepted for any WSDOT toll or parking fees along the route.
Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.
The start at Hyak Sno-Park on Snoqualmie Pass is about an hour by car from Seattle via I-90, and there is no public transportation.
After the finish, return to the start using the shuttle bus included with Entry fee.
As the name suggests,
the course passes through the former railway tunnel—the more than 3 km Snoqualmie Tunnel—so a headlamp or small light is essential for the tunnel section.
It remains cool inside even in midsummer.
Registration is handled through the official website, and entries often close early.
Times are local to Snoqualmie Pass. Check the latest official information before the race.
