this is the de facto 'shuttle' system for the event, not organizer-provided public transit.

Summerville, SC is a small Charleston-area town with no dedicated transit card system;

this relay covers rural coastal roads best reached by car.

Ride-share (Uber/Lyft) operates in the wider Charleston metro but coverage thins out toward the coast.
