| 5K6.2km | 22:15 | 1h |
A night course starting from the Terrassenufer by the former Carola Bridge, following the Elbe River to the Blaues Wunder Bridge, and returning.
The events are the 11.5 km Lauf and the 6.2 km Lauf.
The local start time is 8:00 p.m.
The start and finish are at the same location.
Pick up your bib, check your wave.
So on race morning, you can just run.
The start/finish area is at Heinz-Steyer-Stadion, Magdeburger Str. 2, 01067 Dresden.
No specific Bahnhof (train station) is named on the official site. The official site states plainly that the race bib/start pass doubles as a public-transit ticket for Dresden’s Tarifzone on event day (until 4am the following day), covering trains, S-Bahn, trams, buses and ferries.
Bicycle parking is available near the start/finish area. The organisers explicitly state that they provide no car parking and warn that unofficial parking risks fines or towing.
This is not a date conflict— the 2026-08-14 race had already taken place by the check date, and the site now shows the next edition. Entry fee includes a Dresden public transportation ticket on the day of the competition.
Same location as the start (Heinz-Steyer-Stadion area). No specific Bahnhof is named.
No shuttle bus service is mentioned on the official site.
Dresden trams and buses run under the unified VVO (Verkehrsverbund Oberelbe) tariff, divided into fare zones, with tickets available on touch-screen machines inside most trams or via the DVB/VVO app. There is no rechargeable IC smartcard for casual visitors; single, day, or 4-trip tickets are the standard options, priced by how many zones are crossed.
A weekly ticket can be worthwhile for runners staying several days.
Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.
Dresden’s trams and buses use the VVO integrated fare system, with prices determined by the number of zones travelled through.
Tickets can be bought from the touchscreen machines on trams or via the DVB/VVO app.
There is no rechargeable card designed specifically for short-term visitors;
single, day, and four-trip tickets are the standard options.
As this is a night race starting at 8 p.m., check the evening tram timetable in advance for the return journey.
Times are local to Dresde. Check the latest official information before the race.
