Getting to the start

Foggy Bottom-GWU Metro Station (Orange/Blue/Silver Line), ~1 mile away; Arlington Cemetery Station (Blue Line) is across the Memorial Bridge

Start/finish is the Lincoln Memorial, 2 Lincoln Memorial Cir NW, Washington, DC 20037. The route follows National Mall multi-purpose trails in 5-mile laps back to the Lincoln Memorial. The DC Circulator's National Mall route also serves stops near the Lincoln Memorial.

This is a multi-day DIY walk window (April 25-30, 2027) rather than a single-gun start; the official runsignup page confirms this range, matching the source date 2027-04-25 — no date conflict.

The competition period is open from 7 a.m. on April 25 to 4 p.m. on April 30, so participants can walk (or run) to reach the target distance at any time during this period.

Distance challenges range from the ‘Space Force Challenge’ of 1 to 5 miles to the ‘Army Ultimate Challenge’ of 25 to 30 miles.

The on-site course in Washington, DC starts in front of the Lincoln Memorial and repeats a 5-mile loop.

Proceeds from Entry fee go to 'Operation Renewed Hope',

a mental health and suicide prevention program of Operation Injured Soldiers, a non-profit organization supporting veterans.
