“Finally, with just a few blocks to go, we decided to run it in.”
At the West Line Winder 50km, stomach trouble before the start made eating difficult, and heat and limited water added to the struggle. Alternating running and walking with her husband late on, the runner finished in 8 hours, 44 minutes, and 52 seconds.

You can choose the “No Frills” option to reduce Entry fee instead of receiving a T-shirt and finisher medal.
The event is organized by Freestone Endurance, which also hosts the Hailon Island 100-Mile.
Course is 88% singletrack, with the remainder made up of forest roads and paved roads.
The race takes place as part of “14er Fest” week, running from September 27 to 29, with additional events including live music, local food and vendor booths.
