This is a 50K trail race through the wilderness of Adirondack Park.
It starts at 6:30 AM on September 6, 2026, and the cutoff is 5:00 PM the same day.
The course goes deep into the Wilcox Lake Wild Forest, with three aid stations at the 11.5-mile, 23-mile, and 26-mile marks.
Runners can filter and refill water at various points along the course.

Know the course and time limit, and race day comes into focus.
From the 2026 editionWe have not confirmed the start line coordinates yet.
The course is laid out as a lollipop course, starting and finishing at Harrisburg Lake.
It follows the East Stony Creek Trail to Hope Falls, then continues via the Murphy Trail past Willis Lake and Wilcox Lake before returning to Harrisburg Lake.
Total elevation gain and loss are each about 3,028 feet (923m), and the surface is mostly trail.

Harrisburg Lake trailhead (via Harrisburg Road), Wilcox Lake Wild Forest, Stony Creek, NY — no public transit
Lollipop-loop course starts and finishes at Harrisburg Lake. Access via the public right-of-way parking area at the western end of Harrisburg Road.
Remote Adirondack wilderness forest — no public transit, car access only. Start/finish confirmed on official wilcoxwild.com site; parking-lot address/detail from secondary sources (andyarthur.org, cnyhiking.com).

Course finishes back at Harrisburg Lake after passing Hope Falls, Willis Lake, and Wilcox Lake.
Stony Creek, New York is a rural Adirondacks venue with no dedicated transit card system; this is a car-access-only race with no nearby public transit.
Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.
September in Stony Creek — an average of 15°C, a good temperature for chasing a fast time.
Your body temperature drops quickly while waiting at the start, so wear a disposable outer layer and take it off just before the gun.
A processing fee ($13.25) is added separately at checkout for Entry fee.
Public transportation does not reach the race venue.
Driving your own car or renting a car are the only practical options.
Ultras are decided by fueling and foot care, not speed.
Break in your shoes and socks well before race day, and if there are nighttime sections, bring spare batteries for your headlamp.
The 06:30 start is early.
Working backward from wake-up, breakfast, and travel, staying near start line the night before is more convenient.
