The runner slowed after 20km in the Wanshanhu Marathon and stopped at 28km to film supporters. A coach's encouraging message helped the runner resume and cross the finish in a watch time of 3 hours 14 minutes 30 seconds.

Getting to the start

Start/finish at 映月天地 on 和祥路 (Hexiang Road), Xishan District, Wuxi, Jiangsu, China (宛山湖 Wanshan Lake area). Nearest bus stop is 和祥路(润锡路) served by bus routes 777 and 801, about 700m walk to the start.

Per prior edition (2025, held Nov 9); 2026 date is Nov 8 per DB, no direct conflict found.

If the number of applicants exceeds the race capacity, participants are selected by lottery.
