The start and finish are at Cocopah Resort and Casino in Somerton.

The marathon course is an out-and-back course certified by the USA Track & Field (USATF), with little elevation change and mostly flat roads.

The route descends approximately 74 feet after the start, continues along a flat section,

then climbs 74 feet again from approximately 2 miles before the finish to return to the starting point.

As you run along the side of the road, this course places greater importance on running safety and consistent pace management than on scenery.

You can choose full marathon, half marathon, 10K or a team relay, making it easy to select an event that matches your distance and goal.

The race is organized by Caballeros de Yuma, a group of local businesspeople.

The organization was founded in 1962 by 20 businesspeople to welcome visitors and distinguished guests to Yuma County,

and it now has almost 100 local businesspeople working as volunteers.

Its role in attracting visitors and supporting the community through local events continues in the race.

READY TO RUN

From race morning to after the finish.

Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.

The start is at 7:00 am on 30 January 2027 at Cocopah Resort and Casino, 15318 S. Avenue B, Somerton, Arizona 85350.

To simplify your travel, consider accommodation close to the start in Somerton first,

and prepare your usual layered clothing and race equipment the day before for the early January start.

Full marathon involves running along the side of the road for an extended period,

so it is safer to decide in advance how you will use your usual nutrition strategy.

You can collect bib, your participant shirt and timing chip outside the casino from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday or until 1 hour before the start on race day.

You do not need to check in again after collecting bib.

On-site registration and collection may involve queues and delays, so choosing Friday collection can simplify your schedule on race day.

Only registered runners may enter course;

bicycles, strollers and unregistered runners are not permitted.
