Held at Taiwan’s Zengwen Reservoir, this is considered one of the island’s oldest marathons.

The fully closed course crosses the reservoir’s bridges before climbing to the top of the dam.

There are four divisions—full marathon, 21.3K, 12K, and 3K—combining the atmosphere of a mountain lake with challenging climbs.

The venue is the southern water resources management district of the Zengwen Reservoir at No. 70, Mizuri, Nansi District, Tainan City.

The 2026 event will be the 43rd edition.

It has continued to offer events ranging from long-distance races to more accessible participation events around a local reservoir.

The marathon starts at 7:00 am, covers 42.195 km, must be completed within 6 hours 30 minutes, and has a field limit of 500.

The 21.3 km challenge starts at 7:10 am, with a time limit of 3 hours 30 minutes and a field limit of 1,000.

The 12 km road event starts at 7:20 am, must be completed within 2 hours, and has a field limit of 1,500.

The 3 km health and leisure event starts at 7:30 am, with a time limit of 50 minutes and a field limit of 800.

READY TO RUN

From race morning to after the finish.

First, divide your travel plan according to the start times for each event and the time limit.

The marathon starts at 7:00 am, leaving limited time to prepare before the start.

The 21.3 km starts at 7:10 am, the 12 km at 7:20 am, and the 3 km at 7:30 am.

For the longer events, it is best to set your target pace after also considering the time limit.

Entry fee are NT$1,000 for the marathon, NT$800 for the 21.3 km, NT$700 for the 12 km, and NT$500 for the 3 km.

Registration is open from noon on 30 June 2026 until 11:59 pm on 2 October.

Base your accommodation and transport plans on the venue address at No. 70, Mizuri, Nansi District,

Tainan City, and plan to arrive with plenty of time before the start of your chosen event.

Confirm the Packet Pickup time and location in the event information after registering.
