How bad is the bridge climb early on?

Signed up for Sydney and everyone tells me the course is hillier than it looks. Anyone who ran it — where should I hold back, and is the bridge the worst part or are there nastier hills later?

Bridge is fine because your legs are fresh. The ones that bite are the short rises in the second half. Don't bank time downhill early.

Agree with LongRunSunday. I went out too fast after the bridge last time and paid for it after 30k.
