Why you dream of this race

THE DREAM

About Beaver Trail — what makes it special

ABOUT THE RACE

A day you'll remember,
long past the finish line.

The race runs across the entire Gardon massif, a biosphere reserve and Natura 2000 site.

The terrain is quite technical, and the course crosses the northern slope of the massif.

The road to your own record

Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.

When the city cheers

Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.

The trip that follows the run

Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.

The Beaver Trail will take place in Fronsac, France, on 3 October 2026.

The event takes place around the Gardon Valley and the Pont du Gard,

and a new 80 km-class course was added in 2026, strengthening its long-distance trail focus.

Among the detailed course, the Beaver Trail Fay is 77 km with 2600 m of elevation gain.

The mid-distance options are Beaver Intense at 50 km and D+1800m, and Beaver Confirmé at 28 km and D+1000m.

Beaver Découverte is 18 km and D+650m, Beaver Tee Trail is 9 km and D+210m, and the hiking event linked to the cancer association is 10 km and D+150m.

There are many course, but unlike a flat urban race, the long-distance events require you to manage both distance and cumulative elevation gain.

This local trail event is being held for the 15th time and offers a wide range of distances, from a short introductory course to the 77 km long-distance event.

READY TO RUN

From race morning to after the finish.

Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.

For the 3 October race, you should first choose your course based on cumulative elevation gain rather than your target distance.

The 77 km race with D+2600m and the 50 km race with D+1800m require preparation for both long distance and uphill demands,

while the 28 km race with D+1000m also requires different preparation from a short urban marathon.

If you are taking part for the first time, it is more realistic to assess your trail experience using the 18 km race with D+650m or the 9 km race with D+210m.

Plan your accommodation and transport around Pouls, the host town,

and allow plenty of time for travel before the start and for returning after the race in the long-distance events.

Prepare trail-running equipment that you can wear comfortably for a long time and that matches the distance and elevation.

If you choose the 10 km hike, prioritize comfortable walking clothing and footwear over race equipment.

Check the Packet Pickup time and location for your event before the start and plan your route separately.

Times are local to Poulx. Check the latest official information before the race.
