“I set my best marathon time to date in 4 hours 43 minutes.”
Marion ran the 2024 Médoc Marathon with her family through wine country and past châteaux, enjoying aid stations with wine and local food as well as the festive atmosphere, and recorded personal best 4 hours 43 minutes.

avec un temps de 4h43min, je signe mon meilleur marathon à ce jour.
Read the original on Marion Barrique“In Medoc I finished in 6 hours and 27 minutes, with 5 hours and 17 minutes moving time.”Sadie took part in the Médoc Marathon with only nine days of preparation. She enjoyed the atmosphere, including aid stations serving wine and food, costumes, and the parade, and finished in 6:27.
“The race truly was a once in a lifetime event, basically a mobile party.”Holmes Ino enjoyed the wine, food, and performances while passing vineyards and châteaux at the 2024 Médoc Marathon. He sped up near the finish to stay ahead of the sweeper vehicle and said that he finished in about 7 hours.
“All-in-all, it was an amazing experience from start to finish and I hope to be lucky enough to repeat it one day.”The second half, from 20 to 30 km, was difficult in the heat, but with a teammate's help, the runner finished in 3 hours 26 minutes. The runner placed 7th overall among the women and 1st in the age group.
“It was a whole different kind of marathoning and I’m really glad I had the opportunity to experience it.”The runner took part in the 42nd marathon, running in costume with a younger sibling, a husband, and tour companions. Despite the hot weather and unpaved sections, the runner enjoyed the wine tastings and the atmosphere at the event.
“I had no idea what to expect, so I am really happy with this result.”
The runner ran their first marathon in costume and finished 4,489th out of 9,296 overall and 1,031st among the women. Looking back, the runner believes they finished without pain or cramps because they prepared their nutrition before the race.

Runners start · local time — 09:30 Start (Pauillac Gironde Riverside)
The start and finish are both in Pauillac.
The course passes through vineyards and châteaux in Saint-Julien, Saint-Estèphe, Médoc and Haut-Médoc, with an official distance of 42.195km.
Along the course, 50 orchestras provide music and 23 wine-tasting points create a different rhythm from a conventional race focused on time.
Oysters are served at the 38km mark, and steak at the 39km mark, clearly reflecting the character of the latter-stage course.
Founded in 1985, the event attracts approximately 8,500 participants from more than 50 countries.
About 2,800 volunteers help operate it, and 90% of participants are known to run in costume.
The 2027 event will be the 40th edition, with a stronger focus on experiencing the vineyards, châteaux, music and tasting culture than on fast times.

Gare de Pauillac (SNCF/TER, served from Bordeaux-Saint-Jean), immediately adjacent to the Quais de Pauillac start area
Start is at 9:30am on the Quais de Pauillac, on the Gironde estuary waterfront.
Well served for a rural venue — both scheduled TER rail and dedicated event shuttle buses run from Bordeaux.
Gare de Pauillac (SNCF/TER)
Finish is also on the Quais de Pauillac, same location as the start.
Official event coach shuttles run from Bordeaux on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of race weekend;
TER regional trains also connect Bordeaux-Saint-Jean to Pauillac directly.
Pauillac and the Medoc wine region have no urban transit card system, and public bus service is sparse.
Race organizers typically run dedicated shuttle buses from Bordeaux for runners,
so renting a car or using an organizer shuttle is the practical way to reach the start line.

The 2027 race will take place on September 4.
Registration opens in March 2027, and only people born on or before September 4, 2007 may participate.
Registration requires a Pass Prévention Santé (PPS) certificate from the French Athletics Federation;
for the 2027 race, the PPS must have been issued after September 5, 2026, and costs 5 euros.
Wine-tasting and food points are included at course, so it is best to decide before the race how much you intend to use.
You must collect bib in person at COSEC in Pauillac on September 3, the day before the race, between 10:00 am and 11:00 pm.
You cannot collect another person's bib, and you must present the registration confirmation email received in early August.
Since both the start and finish are in Pauillac, planning your accommodation and transport around Pauillac is practical.
If you ordered the meal package together with bib, confirm it on site as well.
Times are local to Pauillac. Check the latest official information before the race.
