no metro/subway in Beirut - start is at Beirut Waterfront near King Salman Bin Abdel Aziz Boulevard, finishing at AUB Greenfield along the Corniche
Beirut's public transit is informal and entirely cash-based. The ACTC public bus network charges roughly 70,000 LBP paid in cash on boarding, and shared 'service' taxis require agreeing/confirming the flat shared fare before or as you get in (commonly around 200,000 LBP).
There is no metro, tram, or light rail in Beirut. Regular taxis have no meters — always negotiate the fare before getting in.
Beirut has no rail or metro system. Public buses exist on fixed routes (roughly 70,000 LBP per ride, pay the driver in cash and scan a QR code) with a rechargeable card available at the Starco office in Minet El Hosn, but for visitors the practical option is the shared service taxi - hail one heading your direction, state the destination, and pay a flat cash fare in LBP or USD.
Foreign contactless cards are not usable on any of this local transport, so carry cash.
Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.
The course is flat and built for consistent pacing, so start at your goal pace rather than surging with the early adrenaline.
Use every water station along the route.
Times are local to Basta Tahta. Check the latest official information before the race.
