WarsawTHE DREAM
Warsaw Half Marathon (Półmaraton Warszawski) is Poland's largest half marathon, held annually in Warsaw each spring since 2006, run over a 21.0975km course.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“I finished in 1:53:30—shaving 11 minutes off my Valencia time from last October.”The writer ran the Warsaw half marathon in 1 hour 53 minutes 30 seconds, pacing the opening conservatively and increasing the pace after the climb at 14km.
“Together with my friend Bobo, we planned to run in Warsaw.”The runner started on a cold March morning and crossed the Vistula River twice. The runner ran with a friend at their respective paces and finished 2 minutes 30 seconds faster than the previous half marathon.
“But I cross the line with my fastest half marathon time in EIGHT YEARS.”The writer overtook the pace group and then the course group in succession amid heavy congestion, setting their best half marathon time in 8 years with an official time of 2 hours 8 minutes 2 seconds.
We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.

Poniatowski Bridge -- nearest metro Stadion Narodowy station, exit 7
This info is from the 'How to get to the start' page for the March 22, 2026 edition -- not yet confirmed for the 21st edition (April 4, 2027), whose logistics pages are not yet populated. Per the prior (2026) edition: Poniatowski Bridge southern roadway (towards Praga) closed from 19:00 the day before until 18:00 on race day; northern roadway closes 5:00-14:00 on race day.
Parking near the start is very limited -- Park & Ride at metro stations recommended. A dedicated 'Road Guide' page returned 404, likely not yet live for the 2027 edition.
Race participants get FREE public transport within Ticket Zone 1 on race day -- buses, trams, the metro, and SKM trains -- using their bib number for access. Per prior edition, not yet reconfirmed for 2027.
Warszawska Karta Miejska (Warsaw City Card / WKM) — oriented toward residents/regular commuters rather than short-stay tourists
Free personalized card issued at ZTM Passenger Service Points / major metro or train stations (ID required) Works directly at the gates
Alternative: 24-hour / 72-hour tourist ticket 15.00 PLN (24h) / 36.00 PLN (72h) — Worth buying only if making many trips (roughly 3+) in a day; for a race weekend with just a few trips, tapping a contactless bank card directly (which auto-caps daily fares) is simpler. Contactless EMV tap-to-pay ('Open Payment') already works at metro gates and on most buses/trams via onboard validators, charging the fare automatically.
Multilingual ticket vending machines at stations also sell paper tickets for cash or card. The system is being expanded toward full account-based contactless ticketing, targeted around 2028.
