The start area is at Landscheiding 101 in Rotterdam, with parking, a first-aid station, and an automated external defibrillator (AED) available.

Stations & transport near the venue

Just tap your contactless debit/credit card, phone, or watch directly on the OVpay readers when boarding and leaving RET trams, metro, and buses — no card purchase, top-up, or registration needed.

Getting to the start

Official site (bigseries.nl) states the race is held 05.09.2026 on the cycling track of 'RWC Ahoy' in Rotterdam, address Landscheiding 101.

Despite the 'Ahoy' name,

this address geocodes (OpenStreetMap Nominatim lookup, not from official site) to the Zestienhoven/Overschie area near Rotterdam The Hague Airport —

NOT the well-known Ahoy Rotterdam arena/Zuidplein area in south Rotterdam.

No official transit info is published.

Getting to the finish

Same velodrome venue as start (Landscheiding 101) per official site;

no separate finish transit info given.

More details

Not mentioned on official site.

IC card

OV-chipkaart

Vending machines at metro stations, on trams, and at RET service points (only needed if you specifically want a dedicated card instead of OVpay)

Works directly at the gates

Alternative: RET 1-day e-ticket / Tourist Day Ticket RET 1-day e-ticket €12.50 (RET network only);

Tourist Day Ticket €15.50 (unlimited travel across the wider South Holland region incl.

Rotterdam & The Hague) —

Only worth buying if you're confident you'll take enough rides in one day that pay-per-ride via OVpay would cost more than the flat fee,

or if you want to range beyond Rotterdam into The Hague on one ticket.

More details

You must tap in AND tap out with the exact same card or device every single ride, or you'll be charged a high default/maximum fare.

OVpay fares aren't charged instantly — they're totaled and debited from your account the next day.

OVpay is not accepted at park-and-ride (P+R) barriers, and American Express is not accepted anywhere on Dutch public transit.

Stations & transport near the venue

Rotterdam and the rest of the Netherlands use OVpay, which lets travelers tap a contactless bank card or phone directly on trains,

trams, metro, and buses nationwide, replacing the need for a separate card for most tourists.

The older anonymous OV-chipkaart still works through 2026 but is being phased out (sales of the blue card ended mid-2026),

so a contactless bank card is now the simpler choice.

Just tap in and out at readers on every mode of transit.

READY TO RUN

From race morning to after the finish.

Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.

The race uses four start waves divided by target finish time, making it a good fit for runners aiming to improve their times alongside pacer.

With the field limited to 1,500 participants, enter early.

Registration is through bigseries.nl.

Rotterdam typically has cool early-autumn weather in early September, so layered clothing is recommended.

Times are local to Rotterdam. Check the latest official information before the race.
