BratislavaTHE DREAM

It has continued for over 20 years, attracting runners from more than 50 countries.
Held in Bratislava, the event features seven distances ranging from 4.2km to full marathon.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“First marathon as a 40 year old.”The author ran the cold Bratislava race as his first marathon after turning 40 and recorded that he finished strongly.
“Sub 3 and PB.”At the 2025 race, the runner ran 2 hours 54 minutes 55 seconds and achieved both the goal of breaking 3 hours and a personal best.
“I absolutely loved the Bratislava Marathon experience, and would highly recommend it to anyone fancying a new race.”After returning from injury, Tom entered the Bratislava Marathon with low weekly mileage. Tom controlled his heart rate while running in the cold and strong winds, finished in 2 hours 33 minutes, and placed 2nd in M40 and 12th overall.
We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.

RACE WEEK
Know the course and time limit, and race day comes into focus.
From the 2026 editionThe ČSOB Bratislava Marathon, starting at 9 AM on April 11, 2027, is the largest running event in Slovakia.
The start and finish are on Pribinova Street in front of the Eurovea shopping centre,
and the course is a city loop linking the Old Town, Ružinov and Petržalka.
Full marathon runners complete this loop twice.
On the 2026 course, runners left Pribinova, turned around at the tram turning loop at the end of Ružinovská Street,
passed SNP Square and Michalská Street in the Old Town, and crossed the river on the SNP Bridge footway.
After running along the Petržalka embankment and through Sad Janka Kráľa park on the other side,
they returned over the Starý most footbridge to complete one lap at Pribinova.
The surface is a mix of asphalt, concrete and paving stones with no notable climbs, and it is an AIMS-certified course.
The race has been held 21 times so far, with more than 100,000 participants in total.
The 2026 race was expected to draw around 10,000 people from nearly 100 countries.
The full marathon course records are 2:17:18 for men and 2:35:35 for women.

Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.
The 2027 race starts at 9 AM on April 11.
The start corridor is set up on Pribinova Street, and you can warm up on the Eurovea riverside promenade.
Changing rooms and personal bag storage are included in the Entry fee;
in 2026 they opened at 07:30 on race day in the Eurovea technical zone.
The start corridor is divided into zones by time, and you must choose a zone at registration.
Starting ahead of your assigned zone can lead to a 10-minute penalty.
Under the 2026 rules, the time limit was 5 hours, based on a pace of 7 minutes per kilometre.
International participants must present a copy of their health insurance card when collecting the bib package;
without it, they will not receive the package even if they have paid the Entry fee.
On Sunday you can run only one event: the marathon, half marathon or relay.
The 2026 traffic information advised arriving at Eurovea before 08:00 if coming by car,
and pedestrians were directed to cross Pribinova via the two footbridges next to the Ministry of the Interior building and the Sheraton hotel.
Times are local to Bratislava. Check the latest official information before the race.
