“I felt awesome after the first loop; things had started out perfectly.”The runner overcame intense heat to finish a first 100km at San Angelo’s Crazy Desert Trail Race. With help from a support crew and a pacer, she kept going to finish in 13 hours 48 minutes 34 seconds, fifth among women.
“I really pushed the entire time.”At the Crazy Desert Trail Race 10K, the runner took a wrong turn while following the runner ahead, then returned to course and gave chase. A sustained effort over rough terrain secured second place among women.
