THE DREAM
Climb through the high-elevation forest twice, followed by a long descent.
The shaded, steep sections feature tree roots, rocks, and tire ruts.
Higher meadow sections are gently rolling dirt-and-grass trails with no shade.

Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“I was mentally beat up, but I knew I had to continue.”At Green Lakes 50km, two overly fast opening laps made the second half difficult. The runner endured calf discomfort and fatigue on the final lap to set their own 50km best.
“I was so psyched to run 5:41:37 and very happy with the way I ran it.”At Green Lakes 50km, the runner held a steady pace through three laps. Knee pain and fatigue intensified on the final lap, but they finished ahead of their 6-hour target.
We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.
