La Transju'Trail is the flagship trail-running festival of France’s Jura Mountains, celebrating its 19th edition in 2026.
Held each year in early June across mountain villages in the Jura, including Les Rousses,
the 2026 event reportedly attracted around 7,000 participants, setting a new attendance record.
Many runners are said to come not only from across France but also from overseas, including Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Belgium and Sweden.
Rather than a single race, the event is a weekend running festival featuring 12 disciplines: the 110 km ultra-trail as its headline event,
along with 82 km (individual and relay), 65 km, 42 km, 25 km, 15 km, 10 km, 5 km, hiking events, youth races and a separate vertical race held on Friday.
Since 2009, the Transju'Trail des Marmots for children aged 7 to 11 has also been part of the programme.
Highlights of course include the section climbing the ski jump in Chaux-Neuve, the crossing of the viaduct in Morez,
the ascent to the summit of La Dôle and the section passing through Fort des Rousses.
Finish is located at the Omnibus site in central Les Rousses.
The organisers also run an environmental sustainability programme called Trans'Org and rely on volunteers to stage the event.

Entry fees vary by distance, with some separate low-cost events such as the vertical race.
Exact prices are announced each year in the official règlement d’épreuve.
