No public transit — car required
Start/finish is McKinney Roughs Nature Park, Cedar Creek, TX (13 mi east of Austin along the Colorado River). This is a rural preserve with no Capital Metro or other transit service; car access only.
Race is in Cedar Creek, TX (not IN). Date 2026-09-05 (Saturday of Labor Day weekend, Labor Day itself is Mon 2026-09-07) is consistent, not a conflict.
No public transit — car required
Same venue as start (loop/point course within the nature park).
Cedar Creek, TX (near Austin) has no dedicated transit card system relevant to this rural trail venue; this is a car-access race. Austin's CapMetro system with its reloadable card serves the city core but does not reach Cedar Creek, so driving or ride-share is necessary.
Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.
The race venue, McKinney Roughs Nature Park, is a 1,140-acre protected area along the Colorado River about 13 miles east of Austin.
Course passes through four distinct ecological zones: post oak savanna, blackland prairie, East Texas pine forest, and riverside wetlands.
In early September, Central Texas is still hot, so the heat index runs high in the afternoon hours.
Registration is available through RunSignUp and Let's Do This, and the race is organized by the Fit Foundation.
Times are local to Cedar Creek. Check the latest official information before the race.
