THE DREAM
Runs along Lake Geneva's lakeshore in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Categories include full marathon and half marathon, 10km.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“First things first, I actually finished the marathon!”Dominik Hofer took on his first marathon, enduring knee pain, cramps, and bouts of walking in the later stages to finish the Lausanne Marathon in 4:18:01. He recorded his satisfaction at reaching his goal of finishing, and the relief of crossing the line.
“I found a group of five or six and we worked together.”The runner started fast by following the flow around them and ran in a small group to shelter from the wind. The gels prepared for the race ran out early, and the runner's pace dropped significantly in the second half, but the runner set a personal best in 2:52:42.
“Next year, I would like to try something different and take on half marathon!”
The runner ran the full course in a pirate costume while helping a brother-in-law improve his time. The runner enjoyed the lake and vineyard scenery and the smooth organization, but the pace dropped because the runner went out too fast and faced uphill sections late in the race, so they finished together in about 3:54.

L’an prochain je tenterai bien le semi pour changer !
Read the original on Kikourou“It means that the spectators' support gave me strength and lifted my morale.”
The runner set off in rain and a headwind, running with views of Lake Geneva and the vineyards. After the turnaround, the runner walked much of the second half because of the climbs, descents, and physical discomfort, but finished in 4 hours 36 minutes 27 seconds with family support.

Cela signifie être poussé par le public et un boost pour le moral.
Read the original on Kikourou“I achieved my goal, and every mile of this journey was for that very purpose.”
At the 2011 Lausanne full marathon, Tikadi focused on getting past the 30 km the wall and increased the pace late in the race to pass finish in 3:28. They wrote that finishing alone brought a sense of achievement and overwhelming emotion.
Quoted from the original · translated
J'ai rempli mon contrat, tout ce chemin pour ça.
Read the original on Kikourou“Cheers and performances continued along the course, which really helped my morale.”
The runner started by following the 3-hour pace group, but fell behind after the turnaround because of repeated climbs and delays at the aid stations. In the second half, the runner drew strength from the cheers, picked up the pace in front of the Olympic Museum, and finished in 3:09.

Les encouragements (hop, hop, hop) et les animations sont présentes partout, c'est bon pour le moral.
