This is the 5th edition, held Saturday, September 12, 2026 on the C&O Canal towpath in Williamsport, Maryland.

The events are full marathon, half marathon, and 10K, run entirely on the canal towpath.

The start and finish are at Lock 44 (no parking available).

It is a Boston Qualifier certified course, and 2026 times can be used to qualify for the 2027 Boston Marathon.

Out-and-back course along the C&O Canal Towpath starting/finishing at Lock 44 near Williamsport, MD. No bus or rail service reaches the towpath; nearest Amtrak/MARC stations are roughly 20+ miles away with no connecting local transit.

Bib and participant packets can be picked up at Cutshaw Brewing Company from 4:30 to 7:30 PM the day before the race,

Friday, September 11, or on-site at the start, Lock 44, from 6:45 to 8:00 AM on race day, Saturday, September 12.

The marathon starts at 7:30 AM on Saturday, with a finish time limit of 3:00 PM, equivalent to a pace of about 17:11 per mile.

The course is entirely flat along the C&O Canal towpath and serves as a Boston Marathon Qualifier (BQ) certified course.
