“More than that though, we had a blast doing it.”

At the Market to Market Nebraska Relay, the runner shared the 78-mile course from Omaha to Lincoln with teammates. Taking on extra legs increased the fatigue, but crossing the finish as a team was deeply satisfying.

Getting to the start

Start line is in Omaha, NE (exact street address released via the official Race Brief ~3 weeks before race day). Closest hotel to the start is the Holiday Inn Express Omaha South-Ralston.

Packet pickup at the start line opens 4:30 AM race day (Sat Oct 17, 2026). Not a conventional single start/finish race — runners/teams need their own vehicle for the whole event.

Detailed logistics only published in the official Race Brief shortly before race day.

Getting to the finish

Finish is in downtown Lincoln, NE (Haymarket district), site of the post-race Shindig & Expo. Closest hotel to the finish is the Courtyard Lincoln/Downtown Haymarket.

Start shuttle

This is a ~75-mile point-to-point team relay from Omaha to Lincoln with multiple exchange points — no public transit or event shuttle connecting them. Each team drives its own support vehicle between legs; rental vans in the Omaha/Lincoln area are limited, book early.

Teams of 6 to 8 travel by van and take turns running their assigned legs in a relay format.

Legs are divided into 3–5 mile segments, connecting about 75 miles from downtown Omaha to downtown Lincoln.

Regular registration tends to fill up early each year,

and the race balances entry opportunities between new and returning teams by giving priority registration to teams that participated the previous year.
