THE DREAM
The Udine half marathon is an international half marathon held each September in Udine,
in Italy's Friuli-Venezia Giulia region.
The 2026 race will be the 26th edition.
A traditional event dating back to around 2000, it is regarded as one of Italy's fastest course.
Udine hosted the 2007 IAAF World Road Running Championships,
where the fastest times ever recorded on mainland Italy were set in both the men's and women's races: 58:59 and 1:06:25.
The 2026 edition will also host Italy's first FIASO half marathon for medical professionals.
On September 19, the day before the race, the 'Villaggio della Salute' will offer health information and prevention-focused activities.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“Everyone who finished today should be truly happy.”
Margantonio ran as Elena's pacer at the 2014 Udine half marathon. Despite the heavy air at around 85% humidity and the gentle uphill section in the second half, they finished in 1:30:50, helping Elena improve her previous personal best by 23 seconds.

Oggi quindi tutti coloro che hanno portato a termine la gara devono essere ben felici.

The runner completed the 2012 Udine half marathon in 1 hour 22 minutes 23 seconds. The runner entered without any specific running training, but was surprised by the better-than-expected time and ran to the finish with support from spectators and people the runner knew, even on the gentle uphill section in the second half.

In 2009, the runner took part in the Udine half marathon shortly after the Berlin Marathon, carrying the fatigue from that race with them. The runner ran alongside Millie, matched their pace, encouraged Millie through the difficult moments, and shared the joy of finishing with hundreds of friends after the finish.
