THE DREAM
The Life Time Miami Marathon is held every January in Miami, Florida, with Life Time as title sponsor (the 2027 race is presented by FP Movement).
The next confirmed edition is January 31, 2027, with the full marathon, the half marathon, and the Tropical 5K the day before, on January 30.
General entry for 2027 has closed, and spots are available through a waitlist until September 30, 2026.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“I was fine the entire race.”After returning to structured marathon training for the first time in four years, the runner ran a ninth full marathon. The runner managed the pace in the heat and high humidity, and although the runner had a minor mishap during fueling, the runner achieved the goal with a time of 3:08:34.
“I never felt so free, so happy, or so joyous throughout the entirety of a race, ever, like I did that morning.”They gave a detailed retrospective on running a marathon with their colleagues on their birthday.
“I exceeded my goal and had a great time doing it.”Elizabeth ran the 2007 Miami full marathon and finished in 4:13 by her watch. After starting out in heavy rain, she split off from the half marathon runners and carried on alone. Her legs ached and she felt nauseous, but she pushed through on positive thinking, crossed the bridge just before mile 26, and ran it in to the finish.
We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.

The Life Time Miami Marathon starts northbound on Biscayne Boulevard in front of the Kaseya Center in downtown Miami and finishes at Bayfront Park beside the water.
It is a one-loop course.
Shortly after the start, the route crosses the MacArthur Causeway to Miami Beach, follows Ocean Drive and returns to the mainland via the Venetian Causeway.
Half marathon turns off here toward the finish, while full marathon continues along Brickell Avenue,
crosses the Rickenbacker Causeway, loops through Coconut Grove and heads to the finish.
At sea level, the route has very little elevation change and is a course accepted as a Boston Marathon qualifying race.
The only climbs are on bridges.
The highest point is on the MacArthur Causeway, 1/4 mile after the start, at 9m above sea level.
The South Miami Avenue bridge is crossed twice by full marathon, at 13.2 miles and 25.5 miles.
The bridges remain fixed throughout the race, with maritime traffic stopped.
The inaugural race in 2003 had 3,400 participants.
It has since grown into an event attracting 25,000 runners from all 50 states and more than 80 countries.
