North CreekTHE DREAM
A long-distance team relay held in the Adirondacks region of New York.
Teams travel by vehicle and take turns running successive legs.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“All I have ever seen is a deer and some turkey vultures.”At the Peak to Brew Relay, the runner walked some climbs on hilly legs while maintaining the gap to the runner ahead. Looking back on three editions with teammates, the runner highlighted communication between vehicles and rest between exchanges.
“I was hot and cow bell and vuvuzela-less for the whole run!”At the Peak to Brew Relay, teammates supplied water and ice as the runner tackled hot, humid legs. After little sleep and a brief wrong turn on the final trail leg, they completed their assignments, and the team finished in a storm.
We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.
