No fixed-route public transit serves the venue

Start is at the Katy Trailhead, San Gabriel Park, 1100 North College Street, Georgetown, TX. Georgetown has no Amtrak (nearest station is Taylor, TX, ~20 miles away) and no fixed-route city bus system — only CARTS demand-response/paratransit service and (from 2026) a new CARTS commuter route linking Georgetown/Round Rock to downtown Austin, which does not serve the park directly.

2026 edition was 2026-05-23, 2027 edition confirmed for 2027-05-29 on Findarace/Tejas Trails listings). Georgetown genuinely lacks meaningful public transit to this venue; car/rideshare needed.

The start and finish are at the Katy Trailhead in San Gabriel Park, Georgetown.

Organized by Texas Trails, the event offers a wide range of distances, including the 50K, 25K, 10-mile, and 5-mile events, plus a 1-mile youth run.

Registration is handled through RunSignUp, and previous-year information indicates that runners had to register by April 28 to receive a race T-shirt.

Trail-event registrants (5 miles or longer) have previously been offered a cross-promotion providing 50% off Entry fee,

a cycling event organized by the same race promoter.

Course is notable for its singletrack dirt trails running through the heart of Georgetown's Old Town and along the San Gabriel River.
