No Amtrak or intercity bus service in Emporium, PA. Nearest bus terminal (Megabus) is in State College, ~60+ miles away; effectively a car-only destination.

Per prior edition (2026): Start/finish is on the West Creek Industrial Trail at the corner of E. 3rd St and Chestnut St, Emporium, PA — in the small town center, walkable from in-town lodging.

confirmed 2026 edition ran Sunday July 26, 2026 (annual event, date shifts year to year) — per prior edition, not a real date conflict. Emporium is a small rural Cameron County borough ('Elk Capital' of PA) with no public transit; driving is required.
