This is a Run Greece series event held in Trikala, central Greece.

Alongside the 10 km road race, the city-centre squares host a 5 km run and power walk, a children’s race, and Kids Run.

It is the Trikala round of the series organized by the Hellenic Athletics Federation in major cities nationwide, with a strong local-festival atmosphere.

Run Greece Trikala features several events, centred around a 10 km road race.

The 10 km race starts at 9:00am on Vasilis Tsitsanis Avenue (the central square of the Technical University) and finishes at the same location.

The 5 km run and power walk starts at 10:30am on Othonos Street (Riga Feraiou Square) and continues to Vasilis Tsitsanis Avenue,

while the children's race follows the same route at 10:45am.

Kids Run starts at 12:00 noon from the same course.

Getting to the start

Trikala railway station (OSE, Athens/Thessaloniki–Kalambaka line)

Start/finish is at Heroes of Polytechnic Square on Vasilis Tsitsani Avenue, central Trikala. Trikala's OSE railway station is within the town, an approximate 1-1.5 km / 15-20 minute walk from the central square.

Trikala's local buses are run by Astiko Trikalon, with paper tickets bought from kiosks or on board rather than a rechargeable IC card. For arrival from other cities, KTEL Trikala intercity coaches sell tickets at station counters or online, with fares to/from Athens roughly EUR 27-40 one-way.
