THE DREAM
The 10km event has a long tradition, now in its 38th year.
This is the third edition of the World Heritage Marathon, which runs along the Saar to the Völklingen Ironworks World Heritage Site.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“Today, just being able to run 10km again makes me happy.”
The runner recounts staggered starts and strong headwinds at Saarbrücken Westspangenlauf 10km. Running both banks of the Saar and muddy trails brought the joy of racing again.
