Race reports: 1
Frank FisherRan in 2022
“My legs felt great and a strong finish got me to that last podium spot.”

Frank Fisher ran comfortably for the first 4–5 miles of the 2022 Salmagundi Trail half marathon, then caught runners ahead to finish third among men. He described runnable course after the early rocky singletrack, but no aid over the final 5 miles.

We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.

Course follows the Pedernales River through Reimers Ranch in the Texas Hill Country, starting and finishing at Hamilton Pool Road.

The entire course is unpaved, combining wide doubletrack, singletrack, and jeep trails.

Rather than steep mountain climbs, it features gentle rolling terrain, making it relatively well suited to maintaining a fast pace.

The marathon consists of two laps of half marathon, while the ultra (50K) consists of a 10K loop plus two additional laps of half marathon.

The field is capped at 500 runners, and the race is part of the Texas Trail Championship Series.

Times are local to Dripping Springs. Check the latest official information before the race.
