This is a competition introduced by the official website as 'one of the few truly international marathons course', and as it is an international course that crosses the US-Canada border, a valid travel ID is required. Starting at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2026, the course will depart with a wave start at 3-minute intervals, passing through the DeQuindre Cut and finishing in front of Campus Martius. Online registration for the marathon is open until September 8th, but it is currently sold out.
