It is held as a single half marathon event.

The start area (startovy gorodok) is set up at Sobornaya Square in central Omsk, and the finish also returns to the same square.

Course follows the promenade along the Irtysh River.

Sobornaya Square is the venue traditionally used for Omsk's major races.

Typical race-season temperature: around -20°C (-3°F): Cold-weather gear — gloves, beanie, layers

"КДЦ им. Маяковского" (KDTs im. Mayakovskogo) bus/trolleybus stop, near Sobornaya Square, Omsk

Start village is on Sobornaya Square in central Omsk, traditional venue for the city's major races. Reachable by city bus routes 109, 20, 24, 59, 64, 72, 78, 94; marshrutka (fixed-route taxi) 207, 211(T), 354, 387, 424, 500; or trolleybus 8. Course runs along the Irtysh river embankment.

Foreign-issued Visa/Mastercard do not work anywhere in Russia due to sanctions. Cash fares are roughly 25-30 rubles on buses/trams, paid directly to the conductor.

Conductors are on board with mobile terminals (which do accept contactless taps, but only from Russian-issued MIR/Visa/Mastercard cards — irrelevant for foreign tourists) — cash-in-hand is simplest for a short visit.

As the race is held in extreme cold that can drop to -40°C, travel plans should also be made with the cold in mind.

Based on the most recent 2026 edition, bib was distributed only on the day before the race, on Tuesday,

January 6, from 10:00 to 19:00, at the youth space '306 kvadratov' inside the Omsk Pushkin State Scientific Library.
